Do you love watching the fireworks your local council or other organizations put on during the year? If so, you might be keen to find an excuse to watch these products light up the sky more regularly.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to wait for a big municipal showcase to watch fireworks in action; instead, you can set some off yourself when the time is right. You don’t have to invest huge amounts of cash to make this happen, and you might even like to share the costs with friends or family members who will join you for a display.
Read on for some top occasions where fireworks can be applicable and where you might like to create your own fabulous show.
Wedding
Many people like to plan a special element for their wedding to make it extra memorable, and a big fireworks display is a common option to make this happen. Many couples arrange for a beautiful fireworks show to act as the finale of their first dance together, when they’re cutting the cake, or even when they exit their reception.
If you’re the one getting married, it’s best to have a professional (such as someone who works at the wedding venue or who handles fireworks day in and day out) to handle setting up and lighting the display, though, since you’ll be too busy during the entire wedding. Alternatively, have a friend or family member with some experience in handling fireworks help you with this part of your nuptials.
Labor Day
If you enjoy kicking back and relaxing each Labor Day and want to create a fun event for others to join in on, you might like to buy fireworks for a display on this date. Labor Day honors and celebrates those in the working class and can provide an opportunity to stop and think about all you’ve achieved in your career to date or even the sale of a business or some other pinnacle work aspect.
Plus, Labor Day falls at the end of summer, so it can be a great time to help you and your loved ones round out your vacation period and prepare for the new season ahead.
Halloween
Halloween is a holiday when many of us have fun and let our inner child enjoy a dress-up, eat candy, check out a haunted house, and otherwise be playful. However, it can also be a date when you might like to kick things up a notch by adding fireworks to your celebrations.
If you’re planning a big Halloween party this year, why not go beyond the norm by arranging a fireworks display to entertain those in attendance? You could perhaps even set it up to be timed to Halloween-appropriate songs to create an incredibly memorable light and sound show.
Birthday Party
Birthday parties can be intimate and pared-back or huge and lavish, and everything in between, but if you or someone you love has a big celebration coming up, it’s worth considering making it super unique by adding a fireworks display. These shows can be perfect when celebrating a 21st, 50th, 70th, or other memorable number, with such shows delighting both the young and old.
New Year’s Eve
Of course, one of the most obvious times to light up the sky with fireworks for yourself is on New Year’s Eve. This is one of the times of the year when the most fireworks get used globally, and having this type of display at an event you put on can help you and other attendees to say goodbye to one year and hello to the next in an epic way.
It’s best to tee up your display to begin during the countdown to midnight, or if you have a lot of children coming along, you could set it for earlier in the night, such as 9 PM, to help them have a chance to celebrate in style, too.
Fourth of July
The other main occasion when people use fireworks is the Fourth of July. With this date right around the corner now and in the midst of summer, it’s a perfect occasion to host a get-together and celebrate Independence Day and the thrill of a mid-year vacation, if you’re having one.
These are just a few times throughout the year when you might want to put on your own fireworks show. Other ideas are during the Chinese New Year, on Veteran’s or President’s Day, for Juneteenth, or on Memorial Day. Plus, you might consider having fireworks at a memorial or funeral, to celebrate a retirement or anniversary, or at a gender reveal party, among other times.
Sometimes we feel that fireworks are too costly or too much of a hassle to use ourselves, so we limit our viewing of them to the big free ones we watch on TV or see in our local areas. However, you don’t have to spend a hefty amount to have a fun night, and you can take advantage of many occasions throughout each year to have an excuse to create your own fireworks show.
